Christmas is just right around the corner so it's time to start thinking about finding that special gift for friends and loved ones on your list.

The first two medallion ornaments for 2009 have just been released. The first is a typy Morgan horse in high relief on a 4 inch medallion. These can also be ordered with a custom paint job against a gold background.

The second is an elegant American Saddlebred on a three and a half inch medallion. Both are cast by the artist and finished in her studio and will be signed and dated on the back.

The medallions are $15 each or $25 with a custom paint job.

Artist Denise Peterson can also hand paint your favorite horse or pet on a glass ornament. Each will be signed and dated on the back. 

These are priced at $25 each or 6 for $100. Ornament background color is artist's choice and the number is of custom orders will be limited in order to be able to assure delivery in time for Christmas.

This year there will be also be a small number of hand-blown ornaments available for the first time, they are small as they are blown on a quarter inch hollow mandrel. No two are alike as they are made from reactive silver glass which strikes to many different colors depending on the way it's melted and the chemistry of the flame. These are wonderful as decorations for a miniature Christmas tree or rosemary topiary and can also be worn as jewelry.
